COME AND EXPLORE OUR LIFE-SIZED OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND !
Surrounded by unspoilt nature, between the wild River Rhône and the Grand Colombier peak, indulge yourself with a wide variety of summer or winter activities: swimming, canoeing, sailing, paddle-boating, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking and electric cycling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging and much more.
Explore the region of Haut-Rhône with its three mountain peaks – Grand Colombier, Vuache and Montagne des Princes – the River Rhône and two smaller rivers, the Fier and the Usses. The Rhône and its tributaries are popular with anglers who make the most of these rich fishing waters. The Haut-Rhône is also a land of waterfalls like the Pain de Sucre waterfall in Surjoux, the Barbannaz waterfall (visible from Pissieu bridge, between Chaumont and Musièges) and the Eilloux waterfall in Corbonod. You can also admire the wild River Dorche which flows through the hamlet of the same name in the village of Chanay.
Hiking fans and keen walkers, don’t forget that the Grand Colombier, the Montagne des Princes and the Vuache are protected sites. Please help us to preserve them by observing the rules and taking rubbish away with you.
We also remind you that it is both forbidden and dangerous to swim in the River Rhône. You’ll find designated areas where you can safely enjoy the water and watersports.
